Welcome to the Thomas Wall Trust on line application form

This form is to be used by individuals seeking funding for academic or vocational training.

Funding is also available to charities but this application form is only for individual applicants. Charities can apply using a different procedure explained in the Guidelines on awards for charitable organisations.

Before clicking the Start button at the bottom of the page please read the instructions below as well as the Guidelines on Awards to Individuals and Directions to Individual Applicants for Grants.

Instructions for completing the application form

This form is divided into 5 sections that are accessed by using the tabs at the top of this page or the navigation buttons at the bottom of each form page. The 5 sections are:
  • Personal [including your personal details]
  • Course [including information about the course you are planning to take]
  • Costs [including costs that you will incur and income that you will have during the course]
  • Referee [including referee details]
  • Finance [including your or your family income and outgoings] The tab will only become acessible once you have supplied your date of birth in the personal section.
  • Submission [including validation and form submission.]

To submit an application you have to complete all parts of the form following the in-form instructions and then clicking the submit button that will appear on the Application Management tab when all the mandatory fields have been completed.

If you are under 25 years of age at the time of making your application you will require data in the finance section from your parents/guardians. Therefore, before starting your online application see (under 25 Finance Statement) the information you will require to complete your online form.

Note that no data is saved on the server until you click the submit button. In the interest of speed, it is advisable that you prepare longer statements using a different text editor [e.g. Microsoft Word] and then copy and paste the content into the appropriate text fields while completing the form.
