1.Since the funds of the Trust are limited, the
Trustees will only consider applications for grants from students who can show real need for
financial assistance towards the expenses of their
course of education or training, and evidence will
be required that the parents or family of the
applicant are doing all in their power to assist.
2.The applicant should complete the
online application form for individuals,
following carefully the instructions on the form. In
entering the qualification level in the 'Course'
section of the form, if
your application is to support a postgraduate award
and you are shortly to graduate, please select level 4
as your current highest qualification.
3.In
the Personal Section, the applicant is required to
give a personal statement in support of the
application. Please consider carefully your answer
to this as the response is considered important by
the Trustees.
4.The applicant is required to provide details in
the 'Referee' section of some responsible
person, not a relation, who knows him or her
professionally/personally, and who can vouch for the
applicant's qualities and suitability to receive an
award from the Trust.
5.I n
the Finance section a confidential financial
statement has to be completed. If the applicant is
under the age of 25 at the time of completing the
application, details of the applicant’s parent
or guardian who provided the information to complete
the form must be included.
6. If for any
reason an applicant is unable to complete the online
application form, a paper form can be obtained by
sending an
A4
self-addressed, stamped (large letter stamp)
envelope to Professor G. Holt, Director, Thomas Wall Trust, PO Box 52781, London EC2P
